Lazy Day

We had a long day yesterday, and tomorrow will be another long day. Today, we’re just hanging out at the lodge. We did go for a walk at 6 AM, came back for breakfast and went out again around eight  but it got really hot by nine.. so we’re just sitting around, reviewing photos, and now blogging

Some have a lazy day every day.  This is Liz. She’s watching over our room today. And we have no plans of inviting her in overnight. One small gecko is all Chris can handle sharing the room with.

And this is Pup-Pay which is what Chris names every dog we encounter in Central American travels.

There are some photos of the birds we saw this morning

A turquoise browed motmot, a masked tityra, the white throated magpie jay, the streaked flycatcher,  the great crested flycatcher, the barred antshrike, and the cinnamon hummingbird 

We saw a few other birds, but didn’t get good photos. These included a squirrel cuckoo, oropendola, prothonotary warbler. It’s always fun to find on our own even when good photo ops don’t happen! It was HOT and the lighting was not ideal.
