Chris wanted me to post the Yellowish Flycatcher, so I did

Now Chris will elaborate. We arrived at Savegre in the afternoon and our room was ready. As we mentioned, this hotel/lodge caters to large birding groups. So on our own, we asked the front desk where to hike around for birds. Staff mentioned a few trails. That’s when we took the death march up the mountain and saw only a few birds at the top (Mike will add those later.) Thank goodness we did see them, as I stopped cursing about how I hate incline hiking.
Okay, back to the flycatcher. Once we got down, we went back and asked, well, where do you see the quetzal. This time, staff pointed us down the road. So this is all happening our first afternoon here all on our own. So we hike down the road in search of a quetzal armed with very little information. While we were scanning the trees, Mike found this bird, got the shot, and did the identification all on his own, so I was pretty impressed. I got nice looks in the binoculars as it hung around a while, so it was a pleasant hour or so in spite of still not having seen the famed quetzal.
Maybe I should only be impressed with his photography skills? We use the Merlin ap to identify unknown birds, but he does have to get a good image for that to work.

We also spotted a torrent tyranulet on our walk back down by the river. We were looking for the American dipper and found the tyranulet instead and next day with Raul also got the dipper. Mike will add photos later.
