Yesterday, we found the natural part of Nayara springs in a tent camp. We have luxury and landscaping with beautiful non-native plants. The older tent camp has natural landscaping loved by the birds and sloths. A bridge connects the two. Chris is really brave and can quickly walk across the bridge, but can’t stop to look out. Too bad that the sloth was on a vine near the middle of the bridge. At least she got to watch from safety.
Before we spotted the sloth, we ran into a female great curassow which is an unusual looking bird.
We went back again today, saw the male great curassow, a crimson collared tanager, an olive-backed euphonia and a collared aracari.
Of course, a coati is also a nice find.
